I joined as Commercial Director and Shareholder from day one of start-up phase, initially working solely & directly with Patrick Knight the company CEO.

TablePouncer is a Bournemouth based start-up, created in 2011. For consumers, we offer amazing last-minute deals and instant bookings at top local restaurants. For restaurants, we are a marketing channel for filling last-minute tables that would otherwise remain empty.

The concept works on the simple premise that even the best restaurants have, but don’t want, empty tables, so they advertise them on TablePouncer.com with an attractive last-minute deal. Consumers then book these tables easily and securely on the TablePouncer website and receive up to 50% off their total bill. With no vouchers or promo codes to show, coupled with unrestricted choice from the restaurant’s menu, TablePouncer has created a discrete, flexible and enjoyable medium that allows consumers to enjoy the best local restaurants whilst simultaneously helping restaurants to increase their fill rates.

TablePouncer has proven the viability of the model in six regional cities and is now planning to take the model to the world.

TablePouncer has raised funding from Dennis Publishing, one of the world’s largest magazine publishers, as well as a number of experienced angel investors in London and Silicon Valley.
